We are a family of five + a few: Devin, Marianne, Stine, Hanne and Xenia, our little dogs and Sox the cat. We are very interested in the Jack Russell Breed because of the type of dog they are - a solid, well balanced little dog with a huge personality!
We all enter the show ring, and it is a lot of fun. You can tell that both we and our dogs enjoy it. If you see us at a local dog, dropp by and say hello!
Our goal is to have dogs that correspond to the FCI standard, and in addition to this we focus on hunting skills and the lack of inherrited illnesses. We also participate in dog related courses for ourself - there is a lot to learn from many skilled people. In October 2009 we participated in the first part of NKK's breeders school, followed by a cynology course at NKK during the winter 2010.
We also want active dogs, and therefore train agiliy and blood tracking as well as ring training.
Our kennel name was registered in 2008 by the FCI and the Norwegian Kennel Club. The name Arctic Maple is put together by our nationalities. The girls are from Norway, which reflects the Arctic. Devin is from Canada, and therefore a bit of Maple!
